WELCOME TO THE MULGOWIE MARKETS
The Mulgowie Markets “A Real Farmers’ Market” is predominantly a fresh food market that operates on the 1st Saturday of the month at the Mulgowie Hall and Recreational Reserve. The market includes local produce, art and crafts.
Our location enables us to provide a suitable environment for farmers and food producers to provide a direct link to their customers, offering a seasonal food experience and in many cases enabling the customer to meet the grower.
The Mulgowie Markets is an integral part of the community in Mulgowie and its surrounding areas. We aim to provide various social benefits including:
- Supporting the Mulgowie Hall
- Supporting agricultural practices
- Food and nutrition education
- Regeneration of community spirit
- Rural / urban linkages
- Revitalisation of public space
- Promotion of fresh produce consumption and local art, craft and product
The Mulgowie Market is a community based activity operated by the Mulgowie Hall Association Inc. and is run on not-for-profit principles. The Mulgowie Markets have chosen to adopt the Australian Farmers’ Market Association aims and values as far as possible and are supported by:
- Local volunteers
- Lockyer Valley Regional Council
- Stall holders
- Residents and visitors
We welcome visitors from far and wide as well as our own residents from within the Lockyer Valley region.
